Deborah McFarland, MPH, PhD, recipient of the 2017 Association of Schools & Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) Teaching Excellence Award, is  Associate Professor at Rollins School of Public Health (Global Health, Health Policy and Management).  This award recognizes a graduate public health faculty in honor of their excellence in teaching, research, and mentorship. Dr. McFarland and will receive the prestigious award at the annual ASPPH meeting in Arlington, VA in March. Emory College undergraduates were lucky to have Dr. McFarland lead the introductory course in Global Health in the Fall of 2016 for the first time.
